The Hague is getting ready for the first edition − to be held over several days in 2010 − of a new, international festival. International in the most literal sense of the word, as the heart of The Hague will be transformed into a mini-Europe. A total experience, in which the individual characters of the various countries that go to make up Europe will roam the squares and streets of the Royal Dutch city, presenting an innovative, cross-border cultural programme of music, theatre, dance, film, art and mouth-watering culinary treats. A hothouse, offering acres of space for experimentation and crossovers. A festival that surprises and stimulates all the senses. A complete European tour in one weekend.

The event will mark the conclusion of a week of hot debates on topics of contemporary relevance and lectures on the theme of Europe, perfectly complementing The Hague’s status as the International City of Peace & Justice and home to both the Dutch national government and the Dutch delegation to the European Commission.
